One of the things in Makeup that women of color often find difficult to maneuver apart from concealers is blush.
It is a little difficult to find the right colors, decide on the texture that works best and also the amount or makeup style that requires a blush.
Unlike its counterpart – Bronzer, the blush still poses as a threat as it is usually one of the last items to wear – it can make a grand look or mare your grand look.
I know that like other makeup item there is an art to finding and applying blushes so here is how to find the best for you.
DARK SKIN TONE
Women with dark skin look wonderful in deep fuchsia, berry, warm brown, raisin and tangerine blush shades. If you have a warm undertones, try wearing warm brown or tangerine shades for a natural look.
MEDIUM SKIN TONE
If you have medium skin tone, try rich pink, warm mauve, and deep peach blush shades, Ladies with warm undertones can wear a deep peach shades, that gives a fresh look all day and pop of color.
LIGHT SKIN TONE
If you are fair/light skin, your best blush shades are soft pink, light coral, and peach, with light skin or pink undertones, you should wear the soft pink shades for a natural look, If you have a warm undertones, you should wear peachy coral shades.
One trick that always works for me when ever I go blush hunting is to match the color to my inner lip lining, usually this will give me a pink or warm brown color and that usually work alongside berry.
Good luck finding your next blush…
